WHERES OUR RIGHT TO PADDLE?

DID YOU KNOW THAT TWENTY-TWO STATES HERE IN THE US STILL ALLOW PADDLING
IN SCHOOLS! THEY EVEN ALLOW FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES TO BE
PADDLED!

I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA,WE CAN NOT USE CORPORAL PUNISHMENT, I CHECKED
MANY TIMES AS MINE GREW UP! LETS SAY IF I WAS TO USE THE BELT, I WOULD
GO TO JAIL!
IF YOU WERE TO SLAP A TEENAGER  WHO'S MOUTH COMPLETELY DESERVED IT,
AGAIN, YOU THE PARENT WOULD GO TO JAIL!

NOW DO YOU THINK THAT THE PARENTS IN THOSE TWENTY-TWO STATES GET TO
PUT HANDS ON THEIR KIDS?  OR IS IT ONLY THE EDUCATORS WHO DECIDE IF
CORPORAL PUNISHMENT IS THE BEST OPTION FOR A CHILD?

NOW US CONGRESS WOMAN CAROLYN MCCARTHY ALONG WITH THE A.C.L.U.
IS LEADING A BILL "THE ENDING OF CORPORAL PUNISHMENT IN SCHOOLS ACT"
TO DO AWAY WITH ALL PADDLING IN U.S. SCHOOLS!

IN APRIL, A TEXAS CITY VOTED TO RE INSTITUTE PADDLING, THIS STORY WAS      CARRIED BY THE WASHINGTON POST AND NOW HERE WE ARE.

I FOUND A CODE OF CONDUCT SCHOOL ISSUE FROM ALEXANDER  AL SCHOOL.
THE SCHOOL YEAR IS 2010-2011

CORPORAL PUNISHMENT

As a last resort method to maintain discipline or to enforce school rules prior to expulsion, a

principal or designate may administer corporal punishment (paddling) through moderate use of

physical force or physical contact. Such punishment shall be administered under conditions

which do not hold the student to ridicule or shame and which punishment is never in the

presence of other students. No student is required to submit to corporal punishment.

A student's parent/guardian may make a written request that his/her child be exempted from

corporal punishment and that an alternative punishment be given that is acceptable to the

54

principal. If an alternative is acceptable to the principal but is not effective, the use of corporal

punishment may be reinstated with or without the student's parent/guardian consent.

The procedures listed below must be followed to guarantee proper and legally required due

process on behalf of the student:

1. The student must have been informed previously that his/her behavior could bring

about the use of corporal punishment.

2. Prior to corporal punishment, initial efforts and/or alternative methods should be

taken in an attempt to modify the student's behavior.

3. The administration of corporal punishment must occur in the presence of another

certified employee, but only after:

a. the school employee is informed about the reasons for punishment in the

presence of the student;

b. the student is given the opportunity to deny or admit his/her guilt; and

c. it has been determined that the instrument to be used to corporal punish is

appropriate for the age and physical size of the student being punished.

4. No more than three licks shall be administered to a student's buttocks.

5. Whenever corporal punishment is administered, a written report shall be made and a

copy forwarded to the child's parent/guardian.

6. No instrument shall be used that might produce physical injury to the student, no part

of the body above or below the buttocks may be struck, and the number of strokes

and severity thereof shall be reasonable and moderate.

7. Only paddles are to be used in administering corporal punishment and are to be

made from a general and smooth wood product and conformed to the following

maximum sizes per dimension: Grades K-6: Length 7 1/2", Width 3 1/2", Thickness

1/4", and Handle Length 4". Grades 7-12: Length 13", Width 5", Thickness 3/8", and

Handle Length 4".

WHERES OUR MONEY?

The Arizona Immigration Law was written because the state feels drained of money!
Mostly the welfare system which includes cash, food stamps, housing, medical.
Then there is the schools, hospitals, police, fire department. The real big one would be the
court system and the jails and prisons.Social workers, probation department, the list goes on!

In the early days of the United States, the colonies imported the British Poor Laws. These laws made a distinction between those who were unable to work due to their age or physical health and those who were able-bodied but unemployed. The former group was assisted with cash or alternative forms of help from the government. The latter group was given public service employment in workhouses.

Under President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the Social Security Act was enacted in 1935. The act, which was amended in 1939, established a number of programs designed to provide aid to various segments of the population. Unemployment compensation and AFDC (originally Aid to Dependent Children) are two of the programs that still exist today.

A number of government agencies were created to oversee the welfare programs. Some of the agencies that deal with welfare in the United States are the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Department of Labor, the Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Education.

The combined value of federal, state, and local expenditures in  2004 was $3.75 trillion, Federal taxes amounted to $1.82 trillion. State and local taxes and related revenues amounted to $1.6 trillion,

Together,THEY amounted to $3.43 trillion.THAT'S about 91 percent!

MY  IDEA lets through out the Welfare System and the People who are able body but refuse to work!

LETS KICK EVERYONE OFF THE  FREE RIDE KNOWN AS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND DO AWAY WITH THE DRAIN OF OUR MONEY!
LETS KEEP THE HARD WORKING PEOPLE WHETHER THEY ARE HISPANIC OR AMERICAN!
WITHOUT THE WELFARE DEPARTMENT LETS SEE HOW POPULAR WE ARE!

WHAT IS FEMININE?

I am Going to be Taking a Look at Feminity,Womanhood, Where We Have Been, and What Will Our Daughters will be Saying About US!

I want to start with the past  and look at a Very Special Woman who i love, and helped shape my thoughts
on women!

I would like to start with my Nanner, my mothers mother. She never wore makeup, never even bought any.
She also never drove, never even had a license. She got her hair done thou ,that was her little expense. Her nails were always clean and trimmed her home was always clean! She never smoked or drank or swore as she would say.she never raised her voice,or interrupted anyone.she never carried on about anyone or even talked down about any one. My Nanner did not even know what attitude was until my brothers were teenagers. She did blush thou, if she thought she had spoke out of turn or made a noise. She was always happy to see us, in the middle of the night ,when we were sick or even bad. She would try and be cross with us,but she just could not do it.She loved all of  us and always made you feel better!

That would not work in today's society, no makeup no driving!

Nanner was kind , soft spoken, courteous, feminine, lady like!
All the things i want to be!
